Ash centres her practice as a psychologist through warmth, compassion and a deep understanding that suffering is a normal part of the human life. She is passionate about understanding the diversity and nuance of the human experience and works to empower clients as they navigate personal challenges. Ash believes that positive psychological change is underpinned by a strong therapeutic relationship and collaborative process. Ash actively engages clients in a supportive space to reflect on their lives, their values and goals. Ash adopts an individualistic and skills-based approach to help clients build self-awareness, nurture new perspectives, and lead a meaningful life.

Get to know Ash

In her down time, Ash enjoys going on road trips, hiking, playing tennis, reading crime fiction novels and trying new hobbies like pottery. She loves spending time with her friends, family and most importantly, her 13-year-old Labrador. Ash endeavours to practice gratitude every day and lead a value-driven life.

Ash’s interest in psychology grew from taking anthropology classes at university, where she learned about the mind-body connection and living systems of culture.  Ash graduated from a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) from Macquarie University and went on to complete Master of Clinical Psychology from University if Technology Sydney.

Ash has gained experience with wide range of clinical presentations, in both public and private health sectors. Ash integrates and implements a range of evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing. Ash hopes to further her specialist training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.

Ash is registered as a psychologist with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) and is currently completing her clinical psychology registrar program.

Availability

Ash is available Thursdays and Fridays including Early Mornings and Online Sessions.
