Michael is a clinical psychologist who has an interest in using evidence-based solutions, tailored to individual client needs.
Michael has worked with adolescents and adults with a range of presenting problems, including social anxiety, panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, generalised anxiety, depression and autism spectrum disorders. He has trained in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy.
I aim to use evidence-based therapies to help people bring about positive change.
Get to know Michael
Michael has practised in a variety of both public and private health facilities, including hospitals and community mental health centres. Michael also has an interest in cognitive disorders and completed a series of studies examining memory difficulties in children with epilepsy, and has authored a number of publications on cognitive disorders in this clinical population.
Michael is registered as a Clinical Psychologist with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) and can provide specialist psychological services under Medicare. He obtained an Honours degree in Psychology, Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and PhD in neuropsychology from the University of Sydney. In addition to his private practice work, he is a lecturer at the School of Psychological Sciences at the Australian College of Applied Psychology, an Honorary Associate of the School of Psychology at the University of Sydney and an Associate Investigator at the ARC Centre of Excellence for Cognition and its Disorders.
