Joyce is a young, dynamic, and compassionate psychologist, who brings her years of study and experience to catalyse meaningful changes in people’s lives. She combines her empathetic nature with her client-centered approach to help clients re-integrate their past, present and future towards a collaboratively set goal.

Get to know Joyce
Joyce is a self-declared Dilmah Earl Grey Tea fanatic and finds her stillness on quiet evenings snuggled up with a good book. She enjoys going on long walks in nature, and dancing away to a good music playlist. She finds her escape in art galleries and studies Japanese aesthetics whenever she can. Joyce loves connecting with people over food and learning about different cultures.
Joyce’s qualifications include a Master of Clinical Psychology Degree (Macquarie University) and a Bachelor of Science with Honours Psychology Degree (Sunway University, Malaysia in affiliation with Lancaster University, UK). Joyce has worked in a variety of settings including university clinic, anxiety-specialist clinic, psychiatric hospital (inpatient unit, drug and alcohol rehabilitation unit) and sexual health centre. In her years of private practice, she has specialised in the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, trauma and stress, substance abuse/ addiction, grief and loss, relationship issues, sexuality/identity acceptance, and dysfunctional family systems.
Joyce utilises a range of evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy skills, Motivational Interviewing, Interpersonal Therapy and Trauma-informed practise to suit the client’s therapeutic needs She also draws upon existential psychotherapy techniques to elicit powerful changes in one’s psyche. She hopes to further her specialist training in Schema Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy and Psychodynamic Therapy.
Joyce also has a special interest in exploring the quantum theory, philosophy and spirituality in her own time to understand how they shape our lived experience and their application to psychology. Her philosophy in therapy is "embracing humanity from within”.
Joyce is fully registered and endorsed as a Clinical Psychologist with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society.
Availability
Joyce is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays including After Hours and Online Sessions.
