Alex takes a collaborative, person-centred approach, guided by curiosity and respect for the diverse perspectives each client brings to therapy. She strives to create a safe and supportive space where clients feel heard, gain insight into their challenges, and work toward meaningful change. Alex’s practice is trauma-informed and grounded in evidence-based approaches tailored to each client’s context, strengths, and goals.

Alex brings experience across public health and private practice settings, supporting clients with trauma, mood and anxiety difficulties, relationship and adjustment challenges, and neurodiverse presentations. She is committed to inclusive and responsive care, welcoming clients from diverse backgrounds, identities, and life experiences.

Get to know Alexandria

Alex finds balance exploring Sydney with friends, from hiking scenic trails to indulging in the city’s food scene. Curious by nature and with a deep love of story, she enjoys films, documentaries, music, books, and games of all kinds.

Alex is trained in individual, group, and family therapy. She has supported clients across the lifespan in private practice, public health, research, and community-based settings. Alex draws on evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), collaboratively selecting and adapting strategies to suit each client’s context, strengths, and goals.

Alex completed a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Psychology at the University of Sydney, followed by a Master of Clinical Psychology at Macquarie University. She is a registered psychologist with AHPRA and a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).

What is a Registrar?

A Registrar is a Psychologist who has completed 6 years of university training and 2 years practical experience. Subsequent to this each Registrar has to have a supervisor for 2 years in order to become a fully registered Clinical Psychologist. Alexandria is taking these 2 years at Equilibrium.

Availability

Alexandria is available on Mondays and Tuesday including Early Morning, and Online Sessions.
