Jessie is a warm and approachable psychologist who understands that seeking therapy can feel daunting, and meets each client with empathy, kindness and respect, wherever they are in their journey. She works collaboratively with her clients to explore their concerns, identify their strengths, and support them in achieving meaningful goals that align with their values and individual needs. Jessie’s approach is culturally sensitive, trauma-informed, and neurodivergent-affirming, with a strong focus on building trust and creating a safe, supportive therapeutic space. Jessie completed a Master of Clinical Psychology at Macquarie University and has experience in public health, university clinic, and private practice settings.

Get to know Jessie

Jessie is a warm, genuine, down-to-earth, and non-judgemental person who is passionate about helping others to feel safe, accepted, and able to be themselves. She brings this same sense of curiosity, compassion, and authenticity into the therapeutic space, where she works collaboratively with clients to deepen their self-understanding, foster self-acceptance, and support meaningful change.

Jessie has experience working across a range of clinical settings, including community mental health, inpatient mental health units, a tertiary-level inpatient service for families, university clinics, and private practice. Across these roles, she has worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families, providing individual therapy, group programs, and family-based therapeutic support.  Jessie’s therapeutic style is person-centred, collaborative and strengths-based, drawing on a range of evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Outside of work, Jessie values balance and enjoys spending time with her loved ones, exercising, being in nature, reading, and karaoke. She is always open to new experiences, especially when they involve travelling or trying new cuisines.

Jessie completed a Master of Clinical Psychology from Macquarie University. She is registered as a psychologist with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) and is a member of the APS (Australian Psychological Society).

What is a Registrar?

A Registrar is a Psychologist who has completed 6 years of university training and 2 years practical experience. Subsequent to this each Registrar has to have a supervisor for 2 years in order to become a fully registered Clinical Psychologist. Jessie has completed the first year of her Clinical Psychology Registrar program and will complete the remaining year of her supervised practice at Equilibrium.

Jessie is available on Mondays and Fridays including After Hours, and Online Sessions.
