Nisha is a clinical psychologist with over 15 years of experience working with clients. She believes that each person is unique, and so it is worth taking the time to understand what is troubling them, what they have been through, and how they want their lives to improve. Nisha collaborates with her clients every step of the way to ensure that treatment is adapted to her client's goals and needs.

Get to know Nisha

Nisha is very passionate about helping people to care for their mental health as she believes mental health is a key pillar of our wellbeing. Nisha takes the time to get to know each person she works with so that she can develop a treatment plan that is tailored to the needs of the person sitting in front of her. Her approach is collaborative, warm, and non-judgemental. Nisha believes that it is a privilege to walk alongside her clients on their mental health journeys, helping them to move toward their goals. 

Nisha's particular areas of interest include anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, procrastination, stress, perfectionism, and grief. The main treatment models she uses include cognitive behaviour therapy, schema therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy. She has worked in both public and private health settings. Nisha completed her Bachelor of Psychology with Honours and her Combined Ph.D/Master of Psychology (Clinical) at The University of New South Wales, Sydney. 

When Nisha is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Her hobbies include painting (especially impressionist artworks), sewing, cooking, and getting fresh air on walks with a view!

Availability

Nisha is available Tuesdays and Thursdays including Early Mornings and online sessions.
